I made a Javascript-based tile-picker utility for folks who want to use tilesets in games such as Angband, Dungeon Crawl, and Space Empires. Just set up your options (tileset image, size of the individual tiles, and indexing mode), then hit "Ready"... click a tile to display its index and (if your browser supports it) automatically copy it to the clipboard!
